This set of four brake calipers was stripped, prepared and finished by Slamfire Tactical Coatings in Cerakote Gold V-167. The result is an even, bright gold finish across every face of the casting, with the bolt holes and fittings left clean for refitting.
Calipers take a beating from heat, brake dust, road salt and cleaning chemicals, which is why paint on them so often fades, chips or discolours. Cerakote is a thin, hard ceramic coating, so it protects the casting without building up thickness around bores and mounting faces.
